Originally from Virginia, Alex King, DO attended Muhlenberg College, graduating with degrees in both Neuroscience and Fine Arts. He earned his Osteopathic medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by a residency and board certification in NeuroMusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM). He then added to his extensive expertise by being the only resident physician in the country to complete a medical acupuncture fellowship at the prestigious Helms Medical Institute in 2019. Dr. King has a special interest in integrative sports medicine and is devoted to helping his clients and patients overcome acute or chronic pain by combining multiple therapeutic approaches that can include medical acupuncture, osteopathic manipulation, functional training, cupping treatments, and proper supplementation. He believes that a doctor who is in tune with his hands and aware of his patient’s personal experience will engage in a more profound healing process. His process harnesses the body’s evolutionary healing potential, uses osteopathic techniques and is guided by modern medical knowledge. He is also currently the medical director of Rowan-Virtual Neuromusculoskeletal Institute (NMI) in Sewell, NJ. He is currently a medical school professor at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and conducts & publishes research on the latest advancements in musculoskeletal medicine. He also has been inducted into the national Golden Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) for his excellence in medical school teaching. His main hobbies include painting, fitness, gaming, and spending time with his wife Srey, their puppy Pixie, and two cats Leo and Arya.
